I’m a radio, print, video and photo journalist who’s reported across the U.S., and in  Israel, Hong Kong, Mexico, Germany, Kosovo and Colombia. My bylines include PRI’s The World, Marketplace, NPR, Latino USA, Here & Now, the Associated Press, the AFP, TIME, and the In Transit blog of the New York Times. Please check out some work samples here.

I also help host the OnPurpose podcast of the BMW Foundation.

Thanks to a fellowship from the Robert Bosch Foundation, I’ve been based in Berlin since 2016. I recently spent four months reporting in my birth country of Colombia on the implementation of the peace accord with the FARC guerrilla group, with support from the Pulitzer Center and War Stories Peace Stories.

I speak Spanish and English fluently, and advanced German, French and Hebrew.
